The Nashville Career Advancement Center connects youth, ages 14-21, with opportunities to
learn about the workplace and careers, helps them have the academic credentials they need to be employable, and provides community service and leadership development opportunities to help them gain the soft skills they will need to maintain employment.
We do this through guiding and overseeing the
programs we directly administer and by developing partnerships with
youth-serving organizations throughout the four counties.

In an effort to assure
leadership in the areas of customer service and
service delivery, NCAC has conducted a Youth Program
evaluation.
Nine young adults
representing each of the area’s 6 WIA Youth programs
were selected to work on the committee with Dorcas
Sheffield, Committee Coordinator, and Cheri Hoffman,
Data Analyst. Together they compiled survey
questions and results to determine how well each WIA
Youth program was operating from the customer’s
point of view.
Within those results were 3 main
areas to be addressed.
1.
Relationships between youth and
program adults
2.
Satisfaction with peer
interaction opportunities
3.
Utilization of all available
program actives.
